Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Storehouse, and Coast Guard Barracks
National Park Service Photo
Circa 1945 - 8"x10" print
[photo 5]
The Coast Guard barracks visible to the right of the lighthouse tower was used during World War II for men stationed at the site and later moved to the Village of Corolla. Today it serves as the permanent residence of a descendant of Riley Austin, Currituck Lighthouse Keeper 1891-1929.
